Kory Altheide's career as a Financial Consultant began in 2002 with A.G. Edwards & Sons, which eventually merged with Wells Fargo Advisors in Newport Beach, California. In 2009, he and his wife, Carlyn, moved to Walnut Creek, where Kory was the assistant branch manager in the Walnut Creek office for over three years and in 2011 was recognized as a Premier Advisor, a designation that is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by three or more of the following; length of service with the firm, completion of educational components, business production, and professionalism.
Kory received two Bachelor degrees from the University of California at Santa Barbara; the first in Business/Economics and the second in Communication. In addition to many securities registrations and insurance licenses, he holds the Certified Financial Planning™ or CFP® certification from the College for Financial Planning. This certification required the completion of extensive course work and rigorous testing in the areas of investment planning and asset management; including asset management and allocation, retirement planning, estate planning, insurance, taxation and risk management.
Away from the office, Kory and his wife Carlyn enjoy being parents to their two young sons, traveling, the arts, volunteering, playing golf and spending quality time with family and friends.
