Hugh began his career as a Stockbroker more than thirty years ago. From 1986 until 2002, Hugh worked in the San Jose Office of Dean Witter, which later became Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. In the heart of the Silicon Valley, Hugh was mentored by some of the most respected minds in the stock and bond business. By the end of Hugh's first year he was already receiving national recognition for his work with clients new to Dean Witter. He was also promoted through the ranks of Vice President, from Associate VP, VP, then Senior VP. Hugh served as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association and spent 20 years as a Rotarian with San Jose Rotary Club (one of the largest and most active clubs in the world). For several years, Hugh's voice could be heard on KLIV news radio in San Jose. He provided hourly updates on the stock market to KLIV's listeners.
Hugh has been married to his wife Karen for 33 years. When their children became school-aged, Hugh transitioned his business to the Pleasanton Office of Moran Stanley Dean Witter. This helped him be closer to his home in Danville. Hugh continued to serve all his Silicon Valley based clients from Pleasanton and the new location allowed him to better serve new clients from the East Bay. He then saw an opportunity in 2008 to join a very professional group of Financial Advisors and moved his clientelle with him to Wells Fargo Advisors in Walnut Creek. Hugh personally serves clients in 8 states and with this team can serve clients in many more.
Hugh is a graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the School of Continuing Education at University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
Hugh's favorite part about being a financial advisor is the time he spends listening to clients, learning their needs and their dreams, then working collaboratively to choose appropriate investments. When not in the office, Hugh has spent time coaching or assisting with the sports activities of his son and daughter. Now that each has graduated college, you can often find him on the golf course or taking time with his wife as they enjoy all that the bay area has to offer.
