Travis joined the Wixon Altheide Financial group in April, 2016.
Immediately after graduating from University of California Santa Barbara - UCSB - in 2001, with a BS in Business Economics and a minor in accounting, Travis began his career at Bank of America, working in the back office of their currency options department. Very soon after, the bank's management saw Travis' talents and he was promoted to the institutional equity trading floor with Bank of America Securities.
In 2005, he realized he didn't want to trade currency options for the next 30 years of his career, and soon after, he transitioned to AXA Advisors. There, Travis began providing financial planning and investment services to his clients. He loved what he was doing; and because of this, became extremely successful. And, just as with Bank of America, when the management at AXA saw Travis' results, they promoted him to Divisional Vice President - just three years after being hired. While a Divisional V.P., Travis was responsible for hiring new advisors and managing client relationships. As well, soon after, he acquired the Certified Financial Planning™ or CFP® certification. This is not an easy thing to obtain. It requires the completion of extensive course work and rigorous testing in the areas of: Asset management and allocation, retirement planning, estate planning, insurance, taxation and risk management.
Being a highly coveted employee at both Bank of America and AXA, we are very happy to call Travis a member of our team for what we anticipate will be a long, long time!
